Crystal L. Welton is an associate attorney with McAndrews Law Offices, P.C. Her practice is primarily focused in the areas of Estate Planning, Estate Administration, Tax Planning, Special Needs and Disability Planning, and Special Needs Trusts. Ms. Welton also practices in the areas of Business Law and Collections.

Ms. Welton’s work in special needs and disability planning includes working with families to develop a plan that will best serve the needs of the disabled individual as well as his or her family. These efforts include advising regarding public benefits, preparing an estate plan that works in conjunction with a Third-Party Funded Special Needs Trust, guardianships, and Self-Funded (or OBRA-93) Special Needs Trusts that hold a disabled beneficiary’s own assets. Her work in estate planning includes preparation of Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Advanced Medical Directives, and she is experienced in techniques designed to minimize or eliminate Federal Estate Tax implications including Wills with Credit Shelter and/or Disclaimer Trusts, Marital Trusts, Grantor Trusts, gifting techniques, and Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts.

Ms. Welton is a graduate of Winthrop University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She received her J.D. from the Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She has received her Masters of Law (LL.M.) in Taxation and an Employees Benefit Certificate from the Graduate Tax Program at the Villanova University School of Law.
