Gabrielle C. Sereni, J.D., M.S.Ed. is an associate with McAndrews Law Offices, P.C. Ms. Sereni represents children with disabilities and their parents at the federal court level in matters pertaining to the appropriateness of the educational placement and programming offered by public school districts.
She is a graduate of St. Joseph University, Philadelphia, The University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, where she earned a masters degree in Education, and Villanova University School of Law, Villanova, PA where she earned her law degree and juris doctorate degrees.
Prior to joining the firm in 2005, Ms. Sereni was an associate for Wisler, Pearlstine, Talone, Craig, Garrity & Potash, LLP, Blue Bell, PA where she practiced in the areas of Education Law, Special Education, and Litigation. She represented school districts in all aspects of education law from administrative special education due process hearings through appeal to the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Ms. Sereni also represented school districts in employment matters before the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Ms. Sereni also served as a federal judicial law clerk to the Honorable Robert F. Kelly, United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Before attending law school, Ms. Sereni worked as a teacher in the Delaware County public school system. She continues to lecture regularly on special education legal issues before school administrators, other attorneys and parents of disabled children.
Ms. Sereni was named a “Pennsylvania Rising Star” in 2007, as well as 2006, representing the top 2.5% of all lawyers under 40 or in practice less than 10 years in the Commonwealth in a joint project of Law and Politics and Philadelphia Magazine.
